Lymphatic Massage

Series of treatments
Technology: Air Therapy

Baseline metabolic activity in the body is defined as the body’s metabolic rate. The higher this rate is, the faster fat is broken down in the body. Slow metabolism means a low rate of breaking down fat. With age, the body’s metabolic rate slows down, and accordingly, so does the rate of breaking down fat.

This in turn leads to weight gain; hormonal changes alter the distribution of fat in the body, and all rejuvenation and renewal processes slow down as well. From the age of 30 onwards, women’s metabolic rate drops by approximately 5% every 5-10 years. After menopause it plunges further – this is the main reason women report gaining weight and having diff iculties losing it despite sticking to their regular diet.

Fixing the metabolism – it’s worth a try The lymphatic system plays an important role in the body’s immune system, taking part in maintaining its efficiency and proper functioning.

Lymphatic massage may be used as a way to increase the body’s metabolic rate. This system has a critical role in battling infections, regenerating tissues and cells, and clearing waste – including fat – from the body.

Lymphatic massage promotes the natural flow of the lymphatic system and allows it to clear waste and fluid from various body tissues to blood vessels, since the lymphatic system does not have a natural flow like the circulatory system, but rather it relies on muscle contractions – both smooth muscles
and skeletal muscles – in the body to move its components around, so movement must be initiated to drive the lymphatic system.

With age, these muscles weaken, lymphatic movement slows down, and metabolism is decreased.

At Individuel, we use lymphatic massage to help the body quickly clear the fat we have broken down in the process of lipolysis, and as a side effect, our clients enjoy rejuvenated tissues, benefits to the nervous system, and an invigorated immune system and lymph circulation.

Lymphatic massage leaves one feeling energized, vigorous, rejuvenated and less prone to aches.

In addition, lymphatic massage helps to release endorphins and amino acids to the blood stream and is therefore considered a natural analgesic, relieving pain and improving mood.
